I’ve been reading a lot lately about coconut oil and how many different ways it can be used. This stuff, seriously, seems like a miracle product!
It can be used to aid in various health and skin issues, hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and baby needs…..just to name a few.
However, at the moment, I’m most attracted to the skincare benefits.
I’ve always struggled with my skin, even as an adult: too oily, too dry, sensitivity…..but mostly, BREAK-OUTS.
I’ve read that coconut oil—used as a facial cleaner—either alone or mixed with other various ingredients such as baking soda, can clear up skin, even skin tone, provide the perfect balance between too oily and too dry, and shrink your pores. It can also lighten age spots, moisturize lips, relieve and prevent razor burn, provide a mild sunscreen, aid in wrinkle prevention and reduction, and much more!
I hope it’s not too good to be true, because I just bought myself a jar of the stuff, and I can’t wait to see how well it works.
I purchased a jar of Nutiva today. I’m not sure if it’s the best brand out there (I plan to do some research), but it was what I was able to get my hands on at the moment.
I’ll follow up after I’ve been using it for a few weeks to inform you of my findings.
Here’s a list over 300 different ways you could incorporate coconut oil into your life. Not sure if I’ll try them all, but I definitely know I’ll be trying a lot of them. With so many uses, I could easily see how it could become a favorite of minimalists.
